About the Author
K'WAN is the #1 Essence bestselling author of Welfare Wifeys, Section 8, Gutter, Still Hood, Hood Rat, and others. He wrote his first novel, Gangsta, as a therapeutic release, and it went on to become an Essence bestseller and a part of urban-lit history. Another Page Turner!!!

The author told me that I would like this book, and he was not seeing. I fell in love with Rio from page 3, and admired his commitment to his relationship with Trinity. Many tried to make him stay, he has a slip up or two, but continued to protect her and provide for her. He even tried to leave the streets alone, but one fateful night changed all of that, and the rest, as they say…is history.
Once again, K'wan did not disappoint his readers with his gift for details and character development. There were a few times I wanted to slap a few characters throughout the book, until I realized they were fictional. And the ending…let's just that I cried like a baby. Good job Mr. Foye!
